Two new apartment buildings have been granted approval by Woodstock Council. Construction begins later this year.
WOODSTOCK - A big change is coming to the Woodstock skyline.
Woodstock City Council has approved the construction of two 12 storey apartment buildings on the northwest corner of James and Clarke Street. George Bikas, Drewlo Holdings Manager of Land Development, says the buildings will have 305 units combined.
"These are going to be rental units - one and two bedroom units so it will cater to all levels of income."
The buildings will also share a pool, sauna, whirlpool and a secured underground parking lot. Bikas tells Heart FM the towers should be fully functional within the next two years.
"The first tower and half the parking will probably be completed by the end of 2018 so it will probably be the end of 2019 for the both towers."
Construction is set to begin in late spring or early summer of 2017.
