Woodstock Police investigated a fire in the city and have laid charges against a Woodstock man.
WOODSTOCK - Multiple charges have been laid after a structure fire in Woodstock.
The Woodstock Police responded to several calls on Tuesday regarding property damage, then a fire at a residence on Sobeski Ave. During the investigation, it was determined the suspect unlawfully entered the house, caused extensive interior damage, then set a fire in the basement.
As a result, a 27-year-old Woodstock man was arrested and is facing charges of mischief, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, arson - damage to property, along with break and enter with intent to commit an indictable offence.
He was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
