It was months of work, but the Ingersoll Rotary Charitable Warehouse is finally open.
INGERSOLL - It was a grand opening celebrated in Ingersoll.
The Rotary Club with the help of many donations were able to open the Charitable Warehouse. Rotary Board Member, Ted Comiskey says how important this project was to him, and who was behind it happening.
"Ingersoll stepped up to the plate, the businesses, and residents, it took no time at all for us to put together that $120,000 because they knew the project was worth having to help the community."
Comiskey says the project started in March this year, and it took just a few short months for the building to be completely renovated. He mentioned the furnace, plumbing, roof, and much more had to be redone. Chair of The Food Project, Paula D'Orazio says what the Project is.
"We are probably 9 to 10 charitable organizations that are joining a coalition kind of thing, and we're all moving in together and we're all going to be supporting Oxford County."
D'Orazio says the hope is to bring in the organizations and become one team, as there is some overlap in the services that are offered.
