It's fitting that the Dairy Capital of Canada would be the host site for the first ever Dairy Capital Cheese Fest.
WOODSTOCK - Something cheesy is happening in Woodstock.
The Oxford Auditorium is the site for the first ever Dairy Capital Cheese Fest on Saturday from 11 am to 8pm. Event coordinator Jessica Faria explains why they chose Woodstock for this event.
"Well Woodstock is the Dairy Capital of Canada and to celebrate that recognition, I thought it would need a cheese festival."
Faria says you will get a chance to sample some of the best cheese from our local cheese makers and a number of restaurants will also be in attendance. Over 20 vendors have signed up for the event which will feature craft beer, local wineries and of course some of the best cheese Oxford County has to offer.
"There are 20 total, 2 craft breweries, 2 wineries and the rest are cheese artisans and local restaurants."
