WOODSTOCK - The choose kindness movement is an anonymous group of people in Tillsonburg that have been performing random acts of kindness throughout the pandemic.
Recently, the group collected donations for four families in the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Oxford County program. Owner of the Indigo Lounge Wellness Centre Kelly Spencer she reached out to BBBSOC to see if there was any families in need right now.
"So I just reached out to them and said what families do you have that could benefit and what items do they need and so the team at BBBSOC got back to me with four families who could use some help right now."
Spencer explains some of the items they collected.
"So we donated several large bags filled with goodies, they had movies, books, craft supplies, treats and clothing, another member of our group did a bag for each one of the mothers that was a self care package."
Spencer says the group has provided free meals and love letters to staff at Maple Manor during their outbreak and have created signs of support at local long term care homes in the County.
