Chris Parker would like to improve Tillsonburg's recreation facilities if he is elected as a town councillor this fall.
TILLSONBURG - A familiar face in the Tillsonburg Minor Hockey community is looking to become a town councillor.
Chris Parker has entered his name into the municipal election.
He would like to see changes to local Parks and Rec if he's voted in.
"I hope to be able to improve the recreation facilities. We have a good infrastructure in town however it can be improved upon."
Parker would also like to boost the local economy.
"I'd like to be able to work with everybody to try and get more businesses to come to Tillsonburg, which will help draw people to our downtown and give more job opportunities to people in town."
Parker says he has always been interested in politics, adding he attended some political science classes in college.
Tillsonburg residents will head to the polls on October 22nd.
