Those who are looking for Christmas decorations are in luck as the City of Woodstock is hosting an exchange.
WOODSTOCK - Those looking for inexpensive Christmas decorations are in luck.
The City of Woodstock will be hosting a decoration exchange on Saturday, November 23rd, from 8:30 until 10 a.m. at Goff Hall, located in the Reeves Community Complex. Manager of Special Events Kristen Brodhagen says there will be many things people can get.
"At this event, people are welcome to come and shop for free from a variety of donated Christmas decorations and items, anywhere from lights, to Christmas trees, and ornaments."
Brodhagen mentions the donations will all be dropped off before the event takes place.
"We accept donations that are gently used, Thursday, November 21st and Friday, November 22nd from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Goff Hall."
Brodhagen adds community members are usually lined up well before the event starts, and it is a rush first thing in the morning and remains steady throughout the morning. She mentions they usually don't have much leftover, and what is leftover is donated back into the community.
