The Oxford County Council heard from multiple groups at their last meeting regarding 2024 grants. The delegations asked for funds, as the 2024 budget talks are fast approaching.
OXFORD COUNTY - It was a long meeting for Oxford County Council.
Budget season is just around the corner and delegations were asking about grants.
Warden, Marcus Ryan speaks to the number of requests.
"There were a variety of grant requests. So, some of them were standard ones that we have received in other years."
He adds they are coming forward as the next budget is being discussed.
"Budget meetings will start in November, and will be finalized in December. I fully expect we will have more grant requests leading up to that process, yes."
The groups that came forward at the Wednesday, October 25th meeting are; Social Planning Council Oxford, Ingersoll Pipe Band, Oxford Invitational Youth Robotics Competition, International Student Exchanges - Oxford, Oxford Physician Recruitment Group, and Oxford Ontario Health Team.
