A new construction project is slated for the corner of Norwich and Parkinson in Woodstock to improve traffic flow.
WOODSTOCK - Upcoming construction on the corner of Norwich Avenue and Parkinson Road in Woodstock could help improve traffic flow in that area.
County Council has officially purchased 368 Norwich Avenue, which is located on the corner across the street from the Esso gas station.
Warden David Mayberry believes this will benefit drivers in the Friendly City.
"Norwich Ave has become a very major route into the city and we want to make sure it is as safe and efficient as possible."
Mayberry expects construction to begin in 2017.
"It's probably too late this year so it's probably into next year but as soon as possible because we have been wanting to do this project for at least the last five years."
The County purchased the property for $190,000.
