The maximum amount of funding available per application has been increased to $100,000.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County has increased the amount of funding available through the Water Capacity Buy-Back Program.
Deputy Warden Mark Peterson says this program is more geared toward those who own industrial or higher residential properties.
"So let's say you had a residential building with 30 units, if you replaced all of the toilets to use a lower flush system or replaced the shower heads so they use less water, you could qualify for it."
The County has increased the maximum amount of funding per application to $100,000. This is a significant increase, because the maximum amount of funding used to be $50,000.
Peterson says those who want more information regarding the Water Capacity Buy-Back Program should reach out to the county.
