The hospital’s in-patient units are now open to new admissions after being in Outbreak since January 19.
TILLSONBURG - The COVID-19 outbreak at the Tillsonburg District Memorial Hospital has officially been declared over.
The outbreak was first declared on January 19, 2022. The hospital had to close admissions on 2South and 2North in-patient units. Patients were redirected to Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll and Woodstock Hospital.
Interim President and CEO Mike Bastow says they expanded precautions and surveillance during the outbreak.
“Diligent infection prevention and control measures were key in helping control this outbreak. We are so grateful for the support of all staff, physicians, leaders, Southwestern Public Health as well as Alexandra Hospital, Ingersoll and Woodstock Hospital.”
The hospital’s in-patient units are now open to new admissions.
