Oxford County will host its first Crafts in this Climate event in Ingersoll tonight.
OXFORD COUNTY - Oxford County is starting a new series about climate change.
Coordinator of Community Environmental Sustainability, Chelsea Martin speaks to what residents of the County will get out of the series.
"Crafts in this Climate is a way for the community to start engaging on what they would like to see out of the Climate Action Plan. So, the Climate Action Plan is a strategic directive coming from Council."
Martin says the first event is a collage night and will happen tonight from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Oxford County Library's Ingersoll Branch.
"The collage night specifically, it is just going to be a really easy roundtable discussion, where I will be discussing some of the localized impacts that we can expect to see within Oxford County."
This is one of several ways the County will be reaching out to the community to hear thoughts and share information about plans to address climate change. It is free to attend, and if you show up you will be entered into a prize draw.
