BROWNSVILLE - A Go Fund Me has been set up after a crash that sent a local mother and her infant daughter to the ICU.
The crash happened last Thursday evening on Lyons Line in Malahide Township when an SUV collided with the back end of a grain truck. The driver and her infant passenger were taken to the hospital with serious life threatening injuries.
A GoFundMe has been set up for the Reimer family. They include the dad, Josh Reimer, mom Jess Reimer, and their three children Emma (2.5 years old), Olivia (1.5 years old), and Aria (1 month old). Jess was driving the SUV with Aria as the passenger.
Aria sustained a traumatic brain injury and was in critical but stable condition. She was released from the hospital on Sunday. Jess is still in critical condition after suffering a severe traumatic brain injury and significant brain damage. She also broke her ankle, tibia, and femur, as well as her wrist. She is in critical and not yet stable condition and remains incubated.
Josh has not been able to work since the crash as he spends his time in the hospital beside his wife. So far over $2,000 has been raised to help get this family through an extremely difficult time.
If you would like to donate to the family, you can do so online https://www.gofundme.com/f/reimer-family-emergency?member=14342959&sharetype=teams&utm_campaign=p_na+share-sheet&utm_medium=copy_link&utm_source=customer
