Crime Stoppers of Oxford and Woodstock Police will be in the Staples parking lot to help safely dispose of your unused meds, personal documents, and electronics
WOODSTOCK - Crime Stoppers of Oxford and the Woodstock Police are teaming up for a Spring Cleaning of sorts.
They are inviting the public to drop off any unused or expired medication for safe, secure disposal at the Staples Parking lot from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. on May 9th.
Constable Steve McEwen says they are also encouraging people to bring any confidential documents and they will shred them for you. He adds confidential information in the wrong hands can lead to serious financial troubles for you in the future. Scam artists use the information to take out loans, sign up for credit cards, and they can ruin your credit rating.
Crime Stoppers is asking for a $5.00 donation per bankers box of shredded material.
You can also bring any unwanted electronics to be recycled for a $5.00 donation.
