The Oxford OPP are reminding residents that damaged stop signs can create dangerous situations.
NORWICH - A damaged stop sign was brought to the attention of Oxford OPP.
On Saturday, officers responded at 4:45 a.m. to the report of a dangerous condition at the intersection of Norwich Road and Oxford Road 13. Once on scene they noticed a stop sign that was partially in a live lane of traffic. At this time it is unclear if the sign was damaged due to a collision or mischief.
Police are reminding residents that the removal or damage to a stop sign must be reported immediately to reduce the risk of serious harm or death. If you know anything about this incident, or have video surveillance in the area, please contact the Oxford OPP or Crime Stoppers.
