Dave MacKenzie has served as Oxford County's Conservative MP for almost two decades, and he will officially retire on January 28th, 2023.
OXFORD COUNTY - Dave MacKenzie will officially retire in the New Year.
He was sworn in as Oxford County's Conservative MP on June 28th, 2004 and he's planning to retire as of January 28th, 2023.
He says it has been an honour to represent the people of Oxford in Ottawa over the years.
"I have had the unique pleasure and privilege to serve as Oxford’s MP for the last 18 years, and I
thank the Oxford community for all the support they have provided me throughout this time."
During his almost two decades in office, MacKenzie had served as the Associate Critic for National Defense, Parliamentary Secretary for the Minister of Public Safety, Deputy Government Whip, and served as a member of the Standing Committee on Justice and Human Rights.
MacKenzie says he's looking forward to spending more time with his wife Lynda as well as their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.
