Some portions of Paris Lions Park will be inaccessible this summer as Brant County completes a critical waste water syphon.
PARIS - Residents of Paris will notice some disruption at the Lions Park this summer.
Brant County has received $800,000 to complete a critical waste water syphon which runs into the Nith River. Work will start right away so the County can access the external funding for the project.
The Paris Lions Park, Paris Community Pool, playgrounds and picnic areas will be still be accessible while the work is being completed and picnic rental bookings will be honoured. Music in the Park will be moved to the Dominion Telegraph Event Centre for the remainder of the summer.
Some portions of Paris Lions Park will be inaccessible during the project and fencing will be installed to protect park users from construction activities. County of Brant contractors and staff will exercise every precaution to ensure the safety of park users and to minimize any disruption to people enjoying Paris Lions Park and the Paris Community Pool during this project.
