Officials say a dog bit someone on Dover Street Monday night.
WOODSTOCK - Southwestern Public Health is asking for the public's help identifying a dog that allegedly bit someone on Dover Street in Woodstock.
It's described as medium-sized, short-haired dog, weighing about 50 to 60 pounds. It also had sandy-coloured brindle fur and a long tail.
Officials say this dog bit someone at around 9:00 p.m. on Monday, while it was sitting on a residential front lawn. It was wearing a collar without a leash and the owner was nowhere in sight.
Public Health officials want to make sure the dog is up to date on its vaccinations, to determine if the victim needs post rabies exposure treatment.
