Operation Sharing is looking for donations of winter wear for youth and adults for their Coats for Kids program.
WOODSTOCK - Coats for Kids is back at Operation Sharing.
They're asking the public to donate new coats for local youth and adults in our community. Organizer Marilyn Schiemdl says they will have distribution dates in early November and people already in the program will get hooked up early.
"The people that come in for food cards can come in and pick up coats and if we don't have what they need, they can just give me an order with their contact information and sizes."
They need donations of all winter wear, not just coats, including hats, mitts, scarves or winter boots.
Schmiedl says you can drop them off at Operation Sharing at the Peel Street entrance or College Ave Church at the parking lot door.
If you are not part of the Food for Friends card program, you can contact Marilyn at 226-228-1022 and she can help make sure everyone in your family is dressed warmly for the winter.
