One man was sent to hospital with minor injuries following this morning's crash. He now faces Careless Driving charges.
One man was taken to hospital with minor injuries after a morning collision closed a portion of the 401.
Police say a Canadian Blood Services van was travelling westbound when it collided with the rear end of a tractor trailer. The collision slammed the van into the centre median, destroying part of the van and raining debris onto all westbound lanes. A lot of the debris was actually blood donations.
The driver of the Canadian Blood Services Van, a 45 year old man from London, was taken to hospital with minor injuries. He has now been charged with careless driving.
The Highway was closed for several hours this morning as crews worked to clean up the damage and debris from the crash.
