WATERFORD - Drug and weapons related charges have been laid after police searched a home in Waterford recently.
The Norfolk OPP executed a search warrant on Concession 8 Townsend early yesterday morning.
Officers found suspected cocaine, oxycodone, Dilaudid, and drug related paraphernalia, but that's not all. They also uncovered a weapon, ammunition, and Canadian cash.
A 40-year-old man from Norfolk County was charged with posdession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of an opioid (other than heroin) for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorizes possession of a weapon, and possession of the proceeds of property obtained by crime over $5,000.
He's also facing two counts of failure to comply with a release order, two counts of failure to comply with undertaking, and two counts of possession of a firearm or ammunition contrary to a prohibition order.
He has a court date in Simcoe a few weeks from now.
