The Optimist Club of Norwich and District will be hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in Harold Bishop Park on Saturday April 8th.
NORWICH - The Optimist Club of Norwich and District is getting ready for its annual Easter Egg Hunt.
The free event is returning to Harold Bishop Park on April 8th. The starting point for the hunt will be at the Splash Pad located in the park.
Director for the Optimist Club Kathy Keery explains that they made a schedule for different age groups to hunt.
"At 10:45 a.m., we're going to have the age group 5 and under do a separate little hunt. And then at 11:00 a.m. the age group 6 and over will get to hunt."
The Optimist Club will be serving free hotdogs and juice boxes between 11:00 a.m. and 12:00 p.m.
Keery highlighted that they have a ton of prizes ready for children to win.
"We have 10 grand prizes, and then approximately 40 small prizes. Inside the plastic Easter Eggs this year there won't be chocolate or candy but prizes tickets. The grand prize tickets win them an Easter basket, and then there will be a prize table to choose from for small prizes."
She adds that the event is rain or shine, and reminds attendees to dress appropriately for the weather on the day of the event.
