Emily O'Quinn has no regrets about her performance in the L'Oreal The Brush Contest.
TORONTO - Emily O'Quinn will not be representing Canada in the L'Oreal 'The Brush Contest.'
The competition had it's final Canadian stage in Toronto last Friday during which the Top 5 contestant went head to head in a live demonstration. O'Quinn says, "They had us each do a forty minute makeup, and we had to design a red carpet look. And all the girls ended up just doing a brown smoky eye with a pink lip. And then I went a little bit more innovative and did like this really nice violet lip with a blotted eyeliner. And they went for one of the girls who did the safe makeup."
Although her gamble didn't pay off, O'Quinn says it was a great learning experience. "No regrets at all. It was wicked - like I went out there, I did a beautiful makeup, but it's just not what they were looking for, I think. But yeah - an incredible night. And it was an awesome experience."
She says the judges had a lot of positive feedback for her red carpet look as well.
O'Quinn says there's much more ahead of her for her career, and this competition has helped her to meet some great contacts that will be able to help her in the long run.
To the citizens of Oxford County, O'Quinn has just one more thing to say:
