Woodstock will offer curbside leaf collection until November 28th.
WOODSTOCK - With the leaves changing colour, they will be all over the ground before you know it.
The City of Woodstock officially launched its curbside leaf collection yesterday and it will continue until November 28th. City staff will focus on the areas that have seen the most fallen leaves to start, before they start rotating through the nine different zones.
Bagged leaves can't be picked up by city equipment, so just rake them to the curb for pickup.
You can also take them to the Yard Waste Depot on James Street anytime between 8:00 a.m. and 9:00 p.m., Just make sure you don't leave them there in bags.
You can also use fallen leaves to create mulch and compost for your lawn or garden. The city says mulches leaves add nutrients, help maintain moisture in the soil, and could reduce weed growth in the long run.
