One person has died following a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV in Brant County. OPP say the driver of the motorcycle was travelling southbound and went into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an SUV.
BRANT COUNTY - Brant County OPP are investigating a fatal collision involving a motorcycle and an SUV.
The collision occurred on Brant County Road 18 shortly after 3 o'clock yesterday afternoon.
OPP say the driver of the motorcycle was travelling southbound and went into the northbound lane and collided head-on with an SUV. The driver of the motorcycle was then ejected and suffered serious, life-threatening injuries as a result. The driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead on scene.
There were two people in the SUV during the collision, including a small child. Both the driver of the SUV and the child were taken to local hospital as a precaution.
Technical Collision investigators (TCI) were on scene to determine the cause of the collision. Brant County Road 18 at between Salt Springs Church Road & Highway 54 and Number 6 School Road between County Road 18 & Hamilton Road has since been reopened.
