A 57 year old from Hamilton has died after a single engine airplane crashed in an open field just east of Brantford Municipal Airport.
BRANT COUNTY - One person has died after an airplane crashed on Green Lane in Brant County on Monday.
The single engine airplane crashed in an open field just east of Brantford Municipal Airport.
Firefighters extricated the pilot and lone occupant of the plane and transported him to the hospital where he was pronounced deceased.
The deceased has been identified as 57 year old John Bacon of Hamilton.
The Transportation Safety Board of Canada is investigating the cause of the crash. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call the OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
