It narrowly passed with a 170-168 vote.
OTTAWA - It looks like Canadians won't be heading to the polls again this winter.
Members of Parliament narrowly voted in favour of the federal budget that was brought forward my Prime Minister Mark Carney's government, propping up the minority Liberals.
Lone Green MP Elizabeth May voted backed the budget after Prime Minister Carney said Canada will meet its climate commitments under the Paris Accord. Two Conservatives and two members of the NDP also didn't vote, which resulted in the 170 to 168 result for the confidence motion.
Interim NDP Leader Don Davies thinks the budget is bad policy, but also noted that Canadians do not want another election less than a year after the last one.
