The Federal Government is considering a 7 day quarantine for NHL players being traded from American teams.
Several media outlets are reporting the Federal Government will approve a 7 day quarantine for NHL players being traded from American teams.
The move would allow teams in the North Division to make a trade with teams South of the Border and not have to have the player quarantine inside a hotel for 14 days.
Apparently all of the provinces with NHL teams have signed off on the measure, including Ontario.
This is huge news for the Toronto Maple Leafs who could be major buyers ahead of the NHL deadline.
General Manager Kyle Dubas made it clear last week that the team is looking to add top tier talent ahead of a playoff run.
Dubas even went as far to say the Leafs are willing to part with top prospects and 1st round draft picks.
