BRANT COUNTY - The Premier of Ontario made a brief visit to Paris today.
Doug Ford was the Official Fire Hose Cutting Ceremony to kick off the 120th anniversary of the Fire Fighters Association Convention. He was joined by Solicitor General Sylvia Jones.
Brant County Fire Captain Mark Robinson says they are honoured to host the convention this year.
“We are honoured the Premier and Solicitor General attended the opening ceremonies. Their attendance recognizes the importance of this event and the Firefighters who volunteer in their rural communities to protect the lives of others.”
The opening ceremonies included the Premier, Solicitor General and MP Will Bouma cutting a fire hose to kick off the week’s events. As well, they were presented a fire helmet on behalf of the Fire Fighters Association of Ontario.
