Free Tree Day returns to Ingersoll tomorrow.
INGERSOLL - Free Tree Day is returning to the Town of Ingersoll.
Residents can request a tree and the Public Works Department will drop them off at your home from a local garden centre. Administrative Assistant for the Town of Ingersoll, Lenore Capern, says there will be a priority list when it comes to having the trees delivered. "The free tree program - the purpose of it is every year we do a tree removal and trimming. First dibs go to homeowners that have had a tree removed on their property. The other priority is to a new residential area like a new development so they get first dibs on the trees."
Tomorrow residents can have a tree delivered to their homes. Capern, details how the process will unfold. "The Public Works Department are slated for drop off of the tree to each homeowner that has already given interest in having a tree. We'll just drop them off and the homeowner has already had instruction to have the hole pre-dug and to have ready."
The event is held every year, and works to deliver trees to those who wish to have one. Capern wants all residents in need to be able enjoy this service. "If Ingersoll residents are still interested, they're more than welcome to give us a call at Town Hall. They can check our web site all that information is on there, as well there are still quantities left if they're interested in a free tree."
