The quarterly payment from OLG is based on gaming revenue from the beginning of April to the end of June.
WOODSTOCK - The Ontario Lottery and Gaming Corporation (OLG) have made their quarterly payment to the City of Woodstock.
Based on the gaming revenue generated by Gateway Casinos from April 1 to June 30, the city will receive $415,810.
OLG has been paying Ontario communities since 1994, and since Gateway opened in Woodstock in 2001, the Friendly City has collected a total of $24,124,543.
All the money that comes from OLG is injected back into the community, with goals of economic recovery, infrastructure development and job creation.
OLG pays out 100 per cent of the profits back into the province and over the past 28 years, host communities have received more than $1.86 billion in non-tax gaming revenue.
