OXFORD COUNTY - A GoFundMe page has been created for the family of the bus driver who was killed in a two-vehicle collision in East Zorra-Tavistock.
Dave Stewart was 71 years old. He spent the past 12 years driving school bus in Oxford, a profession friends and family say he truly loved. The GoFundMe was set up by his daughter Elizabeth, who says money raised will help with funeral costs.
The crash happened early yesterday morning at the intersection of Highway 59 and Oxford County Road 33.
The second car involved in the collision was an unmarked OPP vehicle. The driver, Detective Constable Steven Torangeau with the Huron-Perth Community Street Crime Unit was also pronounced dead at the scene.
