A couple of local entrepreneurs are showing their "goodwill." John and Jack Grewal have donated over $68,000 worth of new clothing to Goodwill Industries. The donation comes as Sun Wear Clothing in Woodstock is winding down its operations. The Grewals are shifting the focus of their business to antiques, and are getting out of the clothing business. "We donated items to the Woodstock Goodwill Community Store in 2011 and were impressed with the amazing job the Goodwill employees did in helping us pack and remove the items," said the Grewal's,"When it came time to decide what to do with this inventory, we looked further into Goodwill and what it is all about and we agree with their principals of providing supported employment to people who have barriers in our communities and making affordable goods available to everyone by recycling." Goodwill's Regional President Michelle Quintyn says some 20,000 new clothing items will be hitting their stores. "Well the priority will be to sell them within the Woodstock community, where the donation came from because we have a store there. Any surplus that can't be handled within that store will go to other stores in our region," said Quintyn. Quintyn says it's also a timely donation, with the season starting to change, people have a need for new clothing.
