Environment Canada first issued the heat warning over the long weekend and it's expected to last until Thursday.
OXFORD COUNTY - It was a hot and humid long weekend and those conditions will continue for most of this week.
Environment Canada says we can expect daytime highs between 29 and 34 over the next few days, but it will feel closer to 40 with the humidity. We will have little relief from the heat overnight with lows between 18 and 22 in the forecast.
A heat warning is currently in effect but a cooler air mass should be moving through the area on Thursday.
In the meantime, make sure you drink lots of water and stay in a cool place whenever possible. Pregnant mothers, young children, seniors, people with chronic illness and people working outdoors face an increased risk.
