Four fibre-based projects in Oxford County will receive funding from the province and Ottawa to help improve high speed internet access to up to 1,800 homes and businesses in our community.
OXFORD COUNTY - Another 1,800 homes and businesses in Oxford County will soon have access to high speed internet.
The Ford Government announced a joint federal and provincial investment of $252-million to improve high speed internet access in rural communities across Ontario last week. This should benefit up to 60,000 households province-wide by 2025.
Four fibre-based projects in Oxford County will receive up to about $10-million of the funding.
MPP Ernie Hardeman says this will benefit several areas in our community including Strathallan, Innerkip, Bright, Salford, Culloden, Mount Elgin, Brownsville, Sweaburg, Beachville, Otterville, Oxford Centre, Norwich, and Tavistock.
