A new council and Mayor will be sworn in at Zorra Township tonight, another ceremony is also happening for the Town of Tillsonburg.
ZORRA TOWNSHIP - Zorra Township will officially swear in a new council into office this evening.
Mayor Elect Marcus Ryan says everyone is excited to get down to work.
"We are already starting to transition, tonight the inaugural will be special and satisfying but quite frankly I think we are all excited now for tomorrow, when we have our first council meeting and get to work on revising our strategic plan and getting to a budget. I think it is a good group of people and I think we are going to be able to get some good work done."
First time councillors Katie Davies, Paul Mitchell and Steve MacDonald will also be sworn in, along with incumbent Ron Forbes. The public is welcome to come at the Thamesford Library Beaty Room at 7pm for the Inaugural Ceremony and refreshments.

TILLSONBURG - The Town of Tillsonburg will also an official swearing in ceremony this evening at 6:00 p.m. at the council chambers on Broadway Street.
Councillors Dave Berets, Penny Esseltine, Deb Gilvesy, Pete Luciani, Chris Parker, Chris Rosehart and Mayor Stephen Molnar will be in attendance.
The public is welcome to attend.
