The 27th annual Ingersoll Rotary Christmas Parade will begin at 11:00 a.m. this Saturday.
INGERSOLL - The holiday season is about to arrive in the Town of Ingersoll.
The 27th annual Ingersoll Rotary Christmas Parade will be taking place this Saturday and the theme this year is Walking in a Winter Wonderland.
Rotary Volunteer Ted Comiskey says the parade will begin at the corner of Wilson and Mutual Street 11:00 a.m. before it makes a right onto St. Andrews Street and a left onto Thames Street.
"It will move as a parade does timing-wise all the way up through to Thames Street and then along Thames Street to Canterbury Street. So people should be ready to watch anywhere from 10:45 a.m. right through when it's over and it usually takes a little over an hour for the parade to go through."
The parade will turn right off Canterbury onto Wellington Street, and turn left onto Cross Street before ending at Harrisfield Public School.
Comiskey thinks this is Ingersoll's largest Christmas parade yet with over 80 entries this year, including a special surprise for everyone.
"We have the University of Western Ontario marching band which is very exciting for us! So there's going to be lots of music and lots of entertainment, so it's going to be one of the best parades we've had and we're looking forward to everybody coming out and watching it."
