Oxford OPP have charged a 22 year old man with attempted murder after shots were fired in Zorra Township.
INGERSOLL - A 22 year old man from Ingersoll has been charged with attempted murder.
Oxford OPP were called out to Road 78 in Zorra Township just after midnight on Sunday February 12th. They were contacted by a citizen reporting a weapon related incident. Police say the young man from Ingersoll came to the home an got into an argument with the residents. At some point during the fight, he fired a shot. No injuries have been reported.
Teddy Harvey was eventually arrested in Waterloo and he is now facing the following charges:
- Attempt Murder
- Pointing a Firearm (2 counts)
- Careless Use of Firearm
- Possession of a Weapon for Dangerous Purpose
- Assault with a Weapon
- Theft Under $5,000
- Theft Over $5000
- Possession of property Obtained by Crime Under $5,000
- Possession of Property Obtained by Crime Over $5000
- Break and Enter
- Possession of break in tools
- Possession of a loaded restricted firearm
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing to answer to the charges. An investigation is ongoing and anyone with information on this incident is asked to contact police at 1-888-310-1122.
