A 21-year-old Ingersoll resident is in hot water with police. Oxford OPP responded to a call last night and arrested the accused after conducting a traffic stop. The accused is facing multiple charges as a result.
INGERSOLL - On Sunday, August 20, 2023, at 9:00 p.m., the Oxford OPP received a report of a traffic complaint involving a vehicle traveling on Beachville Road into Ingersoll.
The investigation determined that the vehicle had struck an unoccupied parked vehicle in its travels.
Members of Oxford OPP located the vehicle on Charles Street and conducted a traffic stop. The driver was placed under arrest and transported to the OPP detachment for testing.
As a result, a 21-year-old from Ingersoll was charged with the following offenses:
- Dangerous Operation
- Operation While Impaired
- Operation While Impaired - Blood Alcohol Concentration (80 plus)
- Fail to Remain
The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Woodstock on a later date.
