Rob Hessler is known for his popular Halloween displays on Fuller Street in Ingersoll and this year he's going to be collecting donations for Operation Sharing's Food for Friends program.
INGERSOLL - Halloween is in full gear on Fuller Street in the Town of Ingersoll.
Rob Hessler says he always puts on a huge display for the kids.
"We love Halloween, so we do a bit of display, the kids in the area, they like it and we like scaring them, so everyone gets a good kick out of it."
He says this year they are going to set out a donation jar for Operation Sharing and their Food for Friends program.
"This year we are going to try something a little different, we are going to take donations for Food for Friends and try to get a little more support for some people who need it."
Hessler says they wanted to pick a charity where they knew the money raised would be directly going to helping people in our community. Food for Friends allows the less fortunate in our community to purchase their own groceries using a food card. They accept any and all donations, you can leave a quarter, a dime or a toonie in the plastic jack-o-latern on Halloween to help support the cause.
Hessler says they usually get over 500 kids stop for Halloween, even last year in the pandemic they had over 300.
