Two couples spend a weekend at a cabin, but a series of hijinks make it feel like the longest weekend ever.
INGERSOLL - The Long Weekend is about to make its debut at the Ingersoll Theatre of Performing Arts.
It's about two couples that head to a cottage for the weekend, but their true natures come to the surface and they find out how they really feel about each other.
Director Kathleen Boyd says it's a Norm Foster classic.
"It's full of surprises, twists, turns, and you never know exactly what is going to come out of those characters mouths or what they are going to do next!"
She's confident that you will walk out of the theatre with a smile on your face.
"It's one of those comedies that you start laughing and you just don't stop until the end of the play! It's a laugh out loud play for sure."
With that being said, Boyd says this production is not ideal for young children because they might not understand some of the humour in it.
There are seven performances scheduled for this weekend and next weekend and tickets can be purchased online here.
Kathleen Boyd stopped by the Heart FM studio with Becky Tanton, one of the actors in the show, on Monday June 9th. You can listen to their full interview with Dan and Marcie below:
