Sister Act Junior will takeover Movement Church this Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
WOODSTOCK - The Senior Company at K2K Productions is getting ready for it's next big show, Sister Act Junior!
Lots of people are familiar with the film starring Whoopi Goldberg back in 1992, but Director Teale Poirier says this production will have a more family friendly feel to it.
"The story follows the main character of Deloris as she goes through her journey of understanding self and transformation. She creates this really cool community with a large group of nuns and there's so much music, so much dancing and watching each one of the characters grow as the story goes on."
There are 53 students involved in this production, all in Grades 7 through 12. Poirier says they will all have an opportunity to shine.
"We have a large group of our students that are double-cast which means that two people play the same role, so they alternate performance nights. On their off night, when they are not playing their lead role, they are still part of the show. So some of these of these kids are learning two shows in one, so it's quite a learning experience for them!"
There's performances scheduled at Movement Church for this Thursday through Saturday, as well as online streaming opportunities for Sunday. Tickets can be purchased on the K2K Productions website.
