The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's will be happening in Woodstock and Tillsonburg this Saturday.
WOODSTOCK/TILLSONBURG - The IG Wealth Management Walk for Alzheimer's returns to Oxford County this weekend.
The Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners will be hosting two events in Oxford this Saturday. One will be at College Ave Secondary School in Woodstock and the other will take over Annandale Public School in Tillsonburg.
Registration begins at 9:00 a.m. for both events and the opening ceremonies will get underway at 10:00 a.m..
Leslie Rand, the Director of Development for the Alzheimer Society Southwest Partners, says there's still time to sign up and collect last-minute pledges.
"We'd love to have people register online and they can do that on our website alzswp.ca. They can also stop by the office and pick up a pledge form if they would like to do that offline."
There's no registration deadline, but Rand is encouraging everyone to sign up beforehand so they can fundraise and the organizers know how many people to expect.
Rand adds it's more than just a walk.
"Lots of family-friendly activities with music, snacks, and food. It's just a great day for people to come out and show our client families that they don't walk alone."
You can sign up for the Woodstock event here and the Tillsonburg event here.
All of the money raised in Oxford will support services for people living with dementia in our community and you can find more information online here.
