TILLSONBURG/WOODSTOCK - The Alzheimer's Society of Oxford County is offering up a couple of free seminars for anyone worried about memory loss.
They will go over topics like normal changes in memory and thinking, mild cognitive impairment and early stage dementia. Executive Director Shelley Green tells Heart FM they will also go over strategies for brain health and recognizing symptoms.
"Reducing the risk of dementia and what we know about that, so living a healthy lifestyle, through diet, protecting your head, exercise, staying social and also planning for the future. It is a really good 2 hour session for anyone who wants to come out and learn more about normal memory loss vs memory loss that may be a reason for concern and also for anyone who may be going through changes themselves or someone they know."
The Learning About Memory Loss seminars are happening on Thursday June 15th at the Harvest Crossing Retirement home in Tillsonburg from 1:30 pm to 3:00 pm and on June 20th at Oxford Gardens starting at 7:00 p.m.
