The Woodstock Public Library is welcoming some authors to the Friendly City to perform a live reading of their work.
WOODSTOCK - Three authors will be in Woodstock for a live reading of their works as part of LIT on Tour.
CEO of the Woodstock Public Library Bruce Gorman says we are very fortunate to be hosting an event like this in the Friendly City.
"LIT on Tour is part of the international festival of Authors out of Toronto. So what they did is they decided it would be great to spread the word and have some author readings around Ontario, and so they picked 10 cities or so."
The night will start off with some live readings at the Knox Presbyterian Church and give everyone a chance to get up close and personal with the authors according to Gorman.
"We'll have the authors start reading a little after 7 p.m. or so. They'll read for 10 or 15 minutes from their new works and then we'll do a little Q&A. And then everybody's invited after hours to the library."
Tickets for the event are $15 and are available at Merrifield Book Shop or at the library itself.
