Around this time next year, two local delegations will embark on a trip to China. It's being organized through the Woodstock and Ingersoll Chambers of Commerce, not as an official trade mission, but as a learning experience for local business leaders. Woodstock Chamber President Martha Dennis explains, "We are going to be traveling to all the major sites in Beijing, Shanghai, Hangzhou, Suzhou...as well we will be visiting a couple of industrial parks and there will be a business meeting set up, similar to a 'Business After 5'. It's an opportunity for the business community to become familiar with some of the leading cities in China and to become familiar with the century-old customs there." The trip will be taking place in two separate delegations from Sept. 25th - Oct. 5th and Oct. 2nd - Oct. 12th, 2013. An estimated 160 business leaders from Oxford County are expected to participate with the first trip already sold out. Citslinc International, is coordinating the trip in cooperation with the Chambers of Commerce and travel partners, Robert Q?s Travel and Cruise Centre and Just Go Travel. You can find out more at an information session Wednesday evening from 5:30-7PM at Craigowan Golf and Country Club.
