OXFORD/ST.THOMAS/ELGIN - Southwestern Public Health confirmed 9 new cases of COVID-19 over the weekend and just 2 recoveries.
SWPH also confirmed the 87th COVID-19 related death in our community this morning. The deceased is a 75 year old man from Aylmer.
This brings our total number of ongoing cases to 77 and you can find the complete breakdown below:

Three people are currently being treated for the virus in hospital and one person is in the ICU. An outbreak has been declared at Elgin Manor in St. Thomas after two residents and a staff member tested positive for COVID-19.
The Health Unit says 85.9 percent of eligible residents have received their first dose of a COVID-19 vaccine and 81.0 percent have been fully vaccinated.
