It will benefit Embro Zorra Community Centre, the Thamesford District Recreation Centre and the Tillsonburg Community Centre.

ZORRA/TILLSONBURG - The Ford Government is investing almost $500,000 to improve three indoor recreation facilities in Oxford.

Zorra Township will be getting a cheque for $259,667 to upgrade the refrigeration and lighting at the Embro Zorra Community Centre and the Thamesford District Recreation Centre

Tillsonburg is also getting $238,625 to replace the roof covering the indoor pool at the community centre.

Oxford MPP Ernie Hardeman is happy to share this news with his constituents.

"Investing in local recreation facilities is an investment in the health and well-being of our communities. I’m proud that our government is providing nearly $500,000 to support upgrades in Oxford. These improvements will ensure that families, youth, and seniors have safe, modern spaces to stay active and connected."

The money is coming from the province's $200-million Community Sport and Recreation Infrastructure Fund.
