Canadian airlines and airports top global list for flight delays this weekend.
Airlines and airports in Canada notched more flight delays than the rest of the world this long weekend.
According to tracking flight service FlightAware, Air Canada came in first place for delays on Saturday and Sunday.
Over 700 trips, or 2/3 of its flights were impacted.
Pearson airport claimed the Number 2 spot on Sunday, below Guangzhou aiport in China.
On Saturday, West Jet and its subsidiary Swoop came in third and fourth for delays.
Last week, Air Canada said it would cut over 15 percent of its summer schedule, with over 10,000 flights in July and August cancelled.
Over the long weekend, airports across the world grappled with overflowing terminals following two years of pent-up demand.
