The Tactical Response Unit and OPP Crisis Negotiators were called into Tillsonburg after a man barricaded himself inside his vehicle.
The Tactical Response Unit and OPP Crisis Negotiators were called into Tillsonburg after a man barricaded himself inside his vehicle.
OPP say the man was locked in his car armed with two rifles. The six hour stand off with police started at 3 a.m on Saturday and the man was arrested without incident around 9 a.m on Frances Street in Tillsonburg. 54 year old Donald Morris of Tillsonburg has been charged with point firearm, weapons dangerous, flight from police, utter threats, unsafe storage and trespass by night. Morris is still in police custody pending a bail hearing.
Also assisting with the investigation was the Oxford OPP along with Emergency Response Team and the Western Region Criminal Investigation Branch. Oxford County Emergency Medical Services was also at the scene to assist with this incident.
